Prepare the Interview

In 2011, Sia Partners will recruit 30 junior consultants. Each new recruit is the fruit of a long and rigorous process. From 1400 proposed profiles, 200 will enter the process of selection and very few will become consultants at Sia Partners.

The interview is a crucial moment in your career. Becoming a consultant is not only a desire it is also an ambition. You will need to prepare the interviews in order to be successful. There are between 3 and 5 interviews and the process will last between 3 and 6 weeks depending on the period of the year.

Before the Interview

Preparation is a requirement for a good consulting. It all starts at the interview by asking himself the right questions :

About your personality and your ambitions

  • Why the consulting expertise? What are your true motivations?
  • What are your qualities and strengths? What are the remaining aspects of your personality to be improved?
  • What are the expectations of our clients for each consultant?

About your professional

  • Please state the current and the target trajectory of your career path?
  • What are you expecting from your first job?

About Sia Partners

  • What is the positioning of Sia Partners? What customers? What specificities?
  • Why a company with human dimension?
  • Read our publications and prove interest…

During the interview

  • Build straight forward, clear, structured and synthetic answers … and sincere!
  • Illustrate concretely your experiences
  • Explain clearly how Sia Partners positions itself on the consulting market
  • Take notes!
  • Listen the interviewer and ready to intervene when appropriate
  • Prove that you are ready to enter directly the consulting world with a professional behavior (speech tone and distinguished suit-up)
  • Conclude the interview by insisting on essential topics

After the interview

The first interview is merely the first step: all the interviewers will have to provide a positive feedback in order for you to integrate Sia Partners. The expectations will therefore grow between each interview: make sure to use the previous interviews in order to prepare the next one.
